About Us

History
AAHA is an animal health industry organization presently based in Singapore and covers Asia. It has been active for the last 20 years. AAHA’s principal activity is serving as a business membership organization for its members. Its strategic goals are to promote fair trade and competition, encourage science-based policymaking, support regulatory coherence and standards harmonization, and conduct outreach on emerging technologies and their implications for regulatory authorities and other stakeholders.
Current Members:
AAHA’s current members are global animal health companies with a strong presence in Asia. They are Boehringer-Ingelheim, Ceva, Elanco, MSD, Virbac and Zoetis.

AAHA Management
AAHA is steered by an Executive Committee elected by the member companies for two years. It holds meetings four times a year to discuss and provide leadership in addressing members’ issues operating in Asia supported by the AAHA Executive Director.
The Executive Committee oversees six working groups of senior regulatory and market access representatives from the member companies operating in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. These countries have a sizeable livestock sector that uses the members’ veterinary vaccines and pharmaceuticals. The working groups address legal, regulatory, and market access issues in their respective countries, working closely with the AAHA Executive Director.
AAHA collaborates with HealthforAnimals, the global industry association for animal health, and its affiliates on common issues. In addition, AAHA attends and contributes to OIE, FAO and ASEAN meetings, and others upon invitation.
